Circus Classes

 


Mondays

 

6:30pm - 8:00pm

Engage Seniors  (12 years +).

Members of Engage develop their circus skills and interest into performance pieces for displays and, whenever possible, production. Young people work both individually and as part of a team. Emphasis is placed on developing strength, stamina and flexibility alongside performance skills. The group is a part of the National Youth Circus Network.

Starts: 18th September 2017. For ten weeks.

Cost: £40 for 10 weeks or £4 per session by arrangement.

 

 

Wednesdays

 

1:30pm - 3:00pm

Silver Circus Project (for adults) with Sally Gibson.

Circus skills project for adults: you are never too old for the circus so come and join us. This weekly session provides gentle exercise whilst learning circus skills. Stretch your muscles, regain your balance and learn things you didn't think you could do! To include: juggling and other manipulative skills as well as trapeze and other aerial arts. No experience necessary and new members always welcome to join this friendly and informal group.

Starts: 20th September 2017. For ten weeks with a half term break.

Cost: £4 per session.

 

6:00pm - 8:00pm

Engage Advanced.

This is a group designed for advanced students with multiple skill sets that are used to working in a self-directed format. For 14 years +. This group is part of the National Youth Circus Network.

Starts: 20th September 2017.  For ten weeks.

Cost: £45 for ten weeks or £4.50 per session by arrangement.

 


Thursdays

 

4:00pm - 5:00pm

Little Big Tops, with Ben Kirkwood and Emily Goy

An introduction to Circus Skills for 5 – 8 year olds. Learn basic circus and performance skills including plate spinning, diabolo, juggling, balancing skills and trapeze.

Starts: 21st September 2017. For ten weeks.

Cost: £35 for 10 weeks or £3.50 per session by arrangement.

 

5:15pm - 6:15pm

Engage Juniors, with Ben Kirkwood and Emily Goy

(Circus and Performance for 8 – 11 year olds)

Run away to the circus every Thursday. Come and juggle or spin a plate; learn balance skills or static trapeze. Suitable for those wanting to learn some circus skills and for those with some experience who want to improve. Individualised tuition may be available in certain circumstances.

Starts: 21st September 2017. For ten weeks.

Cost: £35 for 10 weeks or £3.50 per session by arrangement.

Family Trapeze, with Ian Chodera

Trapeze and Aerial Arts is a fun way to learn some great new skills and improve your balance, stamina and general fitness. These classes are for a mixture of abilities, where individuals work at their own pace. Children are welcome with a participating adult.

Starts: 21st September 2017. For ten weeks with a half term break.

Cost: £4 per person / £8 per family.
